Freestyle World Cup at Waterville Valley

Image
Attended my first freestyle moguls cup event at Waterville Valley on Friday (1/16/2026) where the winners qualify for the olympics in Italy next month! One thing about me is I love a good ski day and love the Olympic games so this was a fantastic opportunity for me to attend. At the end of 2025, the US Ski & Snowboard changed the location of the Freestyle events from Deer Valley in Utah to Waterville Valley in New Hampshire (moguls) and Lake Placid in New York (aerials). I was stoked to hear these Olympic qualifying events were going to take place only a few hours drive from where I live. Although the event at Lake Placid would have been amazing to see, Waterville Valley was closer and was offering a full day lift ticket for only $26! Typically most big ski areas in the Northeast on average range between $60-200 for a single day ticket, and sometimes only covering 4 hours or specific time slots at that price. The drive up from Massachusetts was quick, I made a pit stop at my favori...

The Elusive Ube Latte

Image
One afternoon spent doom scrolling on Tiktok, I found a video showcasing a new cafe in Cambridge Massachusetts that was ube themed. The video showed cinematic shots of the ube flavored drinks and desserts they offer and it had me wanting to try every sip and bite alongside the creator. One such drink was the classic ube Latte, a coffee flavor which I had never tried before. The cafe was called "Kuya Jays" and was near public transit (and also my favorite parking spot on Main st). I immediately added the cafe to my bucketlist using the app Mapstr, I like to collect cafes/restaurants and other locations I want to visit like the Thanos infinity stones.  Like anything I add to the Mapstr app, it sat on my "to try" list for months and much to my despair when I decided to go visit, it had closed to move to a new location in Somerville. Another few months passed and I went onto their Instagram to check if they had opened their new location yet and once again, much to my de...

Starting a New Blog & Project 30/30

First blog post on the new channel! As part of the Project 30/30 challenge I've started, my first challenge was to create a travel blog where I post about my adventures and food reviews. This blog will serve as a virtual journal of sorts and I am excited to share my stories here with you! I am fairly new to blogging so there will be errors and the appearance of the page may change a lot, but I've been wanting to start one for sometime.  A little back story on Project 30/30, I am turning 30 in 2026 and wanted to complete a list of 30 things (either things I haven't tried or projects I have not finished) in a 30 week timeframe. A favorite YouTube channel of mine, Yes Theory, has an old video series called "Project 30" and I was inspired to try a version of my own for my 30th. Some of the items in my list require more time than the 30 day timeframe seen in their video series, so I adjusted mine to 30 weeks. That way each week I can post a new thing up until my birthd...
